Riverside's Rogue Rockefeller by Andrea Friederici Ross In-Person
Large portions of Riverside used to be owned by Edith Rockefeller McCormick, daughter of the oil tycoon and wife of harvester heir Harold McCormick. Find out about her sudden, unexpected donation of land (and the strings attached) that founded Brookfield Zoo, as well as the real estate business she started with her additional Riverside lots. McCormick's biographer, Andrea Friederici Ross, will outline her roller-coaster life, filled with tremendous wealth, terrible tragedy, and famous names such as Carl Jung, James Joyce, and Clarence Darrow.
