Seed Starting with the Riverside Community Garden In-Person

Starting your plants from seed is simple, rewarding, & fun!

Join us to learn how to start your favorite veggies and flowers from seed, saving you hundreds of dollars a year. Whether you’re a beginner or pro, this seed starting class is perfect for everyone!

In this class we’ll discuss when & why to start plants from seed, which seeds to start indoors and which to direct sow, when and how to harden off your plants before transplanting, and more.

We will supply planting medium (dirt), spray bottles, tools, and a limited amount of seeds.

Attendees should bring containers & seeds of their own. Peat free, biodegradable pots are suggested. Alternatively, upcycled food containers, disposable cups, etc. also work.
