Brookfield Zoo "Connect. Care. Conserve." Interactive Display In-Person
Visit with the Brookfield Zoo during the Sesquicentennial Bioblitz and learn how to "Connect. Care. Conserve." with North American songbirds and pollinators. The display will be outside to the west of the Library. In case of inclement weather, it will be moved inside.
This interactive display is part of the Zoo's SAFE (Saving Animals From Extinction) programming and will include:
- "Connect" features:
- Biological artifacts to observe and learn more about our feathered and entomological friends
- Binoculars, field guides, magnifying glasses, etc. to support exploration
- Additional information about various apps and resources to connect with others and participate in citizen science
- "Care" features:
- Family-friendly activities to support habitat development in your own neighborhood, like examples of feeders and houses
- "Conserve" features:
- Small daily actions that we can do to support conservation, for example adding prismatic decals to our windows”
